Meet Dr. Firestone
Scott R. Firestone, DDS
I am very proud and protective of the dental profession and its responsibilities to the public. Being a dentist is a privilege, and with that privilege comes the responsibility to give back some of my time and effort to those among us in need. I am grateful to be able to improve the health of both my community and the nation. I care deeply about people and want to ensure that everyone has access to dental care, no matter what their socio-economic status.

Experience
I have been lucky enough to serve our wonderful patients with quality dentistry for the past 31 years. I love to restore my patients' teeth, gums and bone to give them healthy, beautiful smiles. I get my greatest rewards in restoring patients who were previously afraid of the dentist, turning them into happy, relaxed dental patients. I see the person before the teeth and make sure that I keep the patient's best interests in mind. My patients are my friends and equals.
Family and community
I grew up in Plainview, and have lived in Smithtown for the past 23 years. My wife, Deborah, and I have one wonderful son named Elliott. In my spare time, my hobbies include Forensic Dentistry, model train collecting and operating, model building, motorcycle riding and home improvement.
As a member of our community, I am a member of the Lions Club International, US Health and Hospital Services DMORT Team, Suffolk County Medical Examiner's Mass Disaster Identification Team, Remote Area Medical Volunteer Corps Free Dental Care Missions, and other organizations.
